Expensive Lingerie; Is it Worth the Cost?

When you think about all the expensive lingerie out there and you wonder, is the lingerie worth the cost? Is it worth being spent so heavily on? Well the most direct and short answer to this important little question is: Most of the times, No! I will say one thing about all the high end designers, without pointing any out, that most of the times you’re only paying for the brand name and what it stands for, not for any specifically innate quality of the heavily expensive lingerie.

When expensive Lingerie is worth it

The price of any expensive designer lingerie first travels though celebrity endorsemeants, advertisemeants and features in popular magazines and lastly the expensive high street addresses, then is put forth to the customers. So basically no matter what brand you shop from, silk remains silk and it makes no sense for a silk nightgown at one brand to cost a $100 while the other nightgown from a high end designer lingerie collection costs up to $1000.

While I stated that all expensive high end designer lingerie isn’t worth its cost there is one exception to this statemeant. Whenever we talk about Handmade Lingerie, it’s worth paying a few hundred dollars for. For example if you’ve paid heavily for a custom made corset and are wondering if it’s worth the cost, then yes, all handmade lingerie is definitely worth the expensive costs. You shouldn’t mind paying for something that was literally hand-stitched from start to finish to your exact measuremeants just for you. One reason that most handmade lingerie costs more is because they’re usually made by small designers who do not have the power to get large discounts from retailer stores like other large designers do.

So basically in the end expensive lingerie is just like anything else expensive, up till a point you’d probably see a quality difference between expensive and other lingerie but then soon somewhere around twice or thrice the price of your normal lingerie, you wouldn’t find much differences. Most of the times customers can realize that there are indeed very few to none differences between their average priced and heavily expensive lingerie, this can often have them feel betrayed. If you’re very specific about the brand names and can afford to keep this specification, then sure go ahead and buy your favorite designer lingerie! But if it’s not completely affordable for you and you’re buying expensive lingerie just because you believe there’s a huge quality difference, then do yourself a favor and start buying reasonably priced lingerie because there are no major differences worth the cost in any of your expensive lingerie.
